The Office
April 1 - May 21 2011
Kaiserstr. 64 / Laden 27, 60329 Frankfurt am Main
Tue - Sat: 2pm - 8pm

The Office was a laboratory for exploring urbanity and social cohabiting. Format and program coincided: an empty space was temporarily converted, equipped as practical office and offered to interested persons as opportunity to deal on-site with the controversies of the urban setting. It was a space that offered experts and interested persons to scientifically, artistically and critically reflect on the Bahnhofsviertel, Frankfurt am Main. In general participation was open to everyone. In relating own ideas and suggestions to the ideas of the other participants new forms and outcomes were created. The project defined itself as an open cooperation, whose developments and processes were not conducted in an authoritarian manner. During the course of 6 weeks 20 different projects were initiated: exhibitions, talks, dj-nights, film screenings and cooking sessions. Finally an exhibition was presented, which documented all realised projects and at the same time showed new art works. Additionally a muscial performance took place in the Kaiserpassage. link
